[WHAT GROWS] PRIVATE CHEF

Chris from What Grows is truly a talent not to be missed. Creating bespoke degustation style menus to suit your taste and desires, Chris showcases local, and homegrown produce like no other.

An intimate, restaurant-quality experience with a private chef. Chris always had a passion for food – growing and cooking it. He started working in commercial kitchens at 17 and quickly developed a desire for learning and understanding the origins of products.

His many travels influence his cooking to Europe and North Africa and the time he spent living and working in the United Kingdom and Germany. Inspired by the natural beauty and the pure produce of Tasmania he eventually made the island his home with the desire to create unique menus and experiences.

While the dry East Coast of Tasmania is not the easiest place to grow food, he made it work by only growing What Grows. He taught himself how to use the natural conditions and turned a bare piece of sand into a lush and fruitful garden. What Grows represents the idea of letting the things that are growing grow and using what is there to create beautiful and seasonal meals.

His menus are inspired by the seasonal produce surrounding him on land and in the waters of the East Coast of Tasmania.

[REMEDIAL MASSAGE] At Freycinet Massage, we believe in a holistic approach to Remedial Massage. During your treatment, we will identify any injuries, pain or stress you want to gain relief from. We will then employ techniques from a range of modalities such as Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Relaxation Massage, Myofascial Release, PNF stretching and Cupping, to treat the body and relax the nervous system.

[PREGNANCY MASSAGE] We use techniques that are safe and comfortable from 0-40 weeks, using props and pillows to ensure you can relax completely during your massage. From around 12 weeks we use a side-lying position as this is the safest and most beneficial position for you and your baby, ensuring the ligaments in your pelvis can relax and allow for optimal positioning of your bub.

[DEEP TISSUE] Deep Tissue massage is similar to relaxation massage but designed to target deeper layers of muscle and fascia. Pressure is increased slowly allowing the tissues to adapt, relax and release. This treatment is wonderful for treating everyday aches, pains, and tension.
